Following last Sunday’s third race of the GO&FUN BSJ Triathlon Series, Birkirkara St. Joseph would like to thank all the participants who, due to their numerous presence, that special triathlon vibe was back in full force following its absence endured during and following the pandemic years.
At Birkirkara St. Joseph we were thrilled to have the crowds again, a sentiment shared by Triathlon Malta. We look forward to hosting everyone again in the final race of the series on the 2nd June.
Discussions within the Club are already underway in view of next year’s events, and the numbers turning up for the races will certainly boost any proposed upgrades under review.
However, this large turn-out did not come without a couple of hitches, which restricted the organizing team to start the race a few minutes late.
Time is of paramount importance, particularly due to the authorities’ restrictions in closing the race route for traffic.
To this end, and to ensure the smooth running of the event, we urge prospective participants to register for the race as early as possible, ideally not later than a couple of days before the event, and to turn up at least an hour before the start of the race.
At the end of the forthcoming races on the 2nd June, a presentation ceremony will be held for the overall winners and the category winners of the Series, both in the Sprint distance and the Olympic distance.
