Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club announced that once again it has garnered the support of Eurosport Malta for the highly popular Fleur-de-Lys races, which take place annually on the 13th December.
This annual event, held in the heart of Fleur-de-Lys and Birkirkara, brings together stakeholders from the locality for a 10km and 5km race which usually is also tied to a local fundraising endeavour. This year’s beneficiary will be YMCA Malta.
Furthermore, Birkirkara St Joseph Sports Club and Eurosport announced that the reace will be held in memory of young Jake Vella, a cherished member of the club’s community.
The race, whilst attracting a strong pool of elite and experienced athletes has over the years attracted athletes of varying degrees of ability, which ties into its efforts to bring as many runners into its community as possible.
As title sponsor, Eurosport Malta shares in this vision, underscoring the importance of health, fitness, and community support. “We are honoured to partner with Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club and contribute to this meaningful event that celebrates both the passion for sports and the power of community,” said Brian Cremona, Head of Marketing, Eurosport Malta.
The Eurosport BSJ Fleur-de-Lys Road Races will take place on Friday 13th December at 730am. Trophies and Eurosport Vouchers will be presented to the winners immediately after the race.
