Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club, following guidance from the competent authorities, today cancelled the Garmin Malta – Gozo- Malta and Garmin Gozo – Malta swims.
This decision, which was not taken lightly, followed the unexpected squall that hit the channel this morning, causing a high swell in the process.
The Club, appreciates that this is very disappointing for all involved, however the safety of our athletes has always been paramount and our topmost priority.
Athletes will receive further communication in due course.
