Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club would like to inform our swimmers, that after having conducted an estimate of the costings involved in the organization of this year’s Garmin BSJ (Malta)-Gozo-Malta Open Water Swimming Competition, and after having taken into consideration the feedback the Club has requested from prospective participants, it transpires that the number of entries is too low to cover the expenses involved to organize the race to the required standards.
The Club therefore, regretfully announces that the event has been cancelled.
However, clearance has been obtained for the organization of this year’s edition of the X-Waters Malta channel swims to be held between the 12th and 15th October 2023.
The X-Waters swims in Malta are jointly organized by Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club and Agones Sports Club. To this end, swimmers who would like to do the Gozo-Malta swim only, are to register through the Club website.
Entries are to be submitted by not later than Monday, 11th September.
The swim route is the same as the one used by the Club in the previous edition and will be held on Sunday, 15thOctober 2023.
