A well-executed race from Aaron Mifsud saw him pip James Sciriha to the winner’s podium in the second race of the Eurosport BSJ 5k Road Running Series on Tuesday.

Continuing his noteworthy performance in the first Race, Sciriha led the way for most of the two-lap course, but in what was a flashback of the previous race, Sciriha had to contend with an attack from Mifsud on the final, and hilly part of the race to cross the finish line five seconds ahead of Sciriha.
Previous race winner Tara Abdilla had a tough challenge from Rachel Borg, who had placed second in the first race. For most of the race, the two were head-to-head, however as the finish line drew closer Borg took the lead to win the race. Entering contention for a place on the podium was Marija Cumbo who was trailing behind Borg and Abdilla, but in the final metres of the race overtook Abdilla to take second place.
